Who/What/How:
- Donnafugata is the forward-thinking label of this historic Rallo family who have been making wine in the Marsala region of Sicily since 1851. As the sales of traditional Marsala begin to decline, they turned their focus to still wines from the classic Sicilian and international grape varieties. They adopted modern approaches to winemaking, while respecting the traditional approaches that have been passed down through their family. It has been a huge success which has spawned four estates and a brand-spanking new winery.
Taste:
- The Donnafugata Sur Sur Grillo is all about freshness, so it was fermented in stainless steel for just two months and three months before the release ensuring that the final product is a deeply vibrant and refreshing wine. Look for notes of wild flowers, mint, stone fruit and melon.
