Who/What/How:

  • The award-winning Dandelion Vineyards are true artisans. A producer of truly special wines and forward-thinking in their approach to sustainability. Founder and winemaker Elena Brooks worked in vineyards across the world, before settling in Australia's McLaren Vale with her husband, (and now children). A true innovative vigneron.

Taste:

  • Dandelion Vineyards Lion's Tooth of the McLaren Vale is a 95% Shiraz and 5% Riesling blend. A marriage of red fruits and rose petals from the aromatic Eden Valley Riesling. On the palate, it is pure wild cherries, blueberries and oaked spice. The tannins are pronounced but velvety with a soft finish thanks from the Riesling. The wine remained in a mix of old and new oak barrels for 18 months before being racked and bottled without filtration or fining.
