Perfect Picnic Wines - Whole Bunch Wines Wine Tasting

Summer is a brief thing in England, particularly in Manchester. So, we have to make the most of it while we can! That means picnics and good wines. Let's take a look at our perfect picnic wines. Fizz, white, rosé and red. Get your baskets out.

Whole Bunch Wines is always hosting THE BEST tastings, so make sure you see what's coming up right here.

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard Grand Lys Crémant de Bourgogne

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard has been ran by Caroline Lestime, (Jean-Noël's daughter), since 1989. Their 12 hectares of vines are all certified organic and farmed in line with biodynamic principles. Here, they have produced an absolute corker to rival many a Blanc de Noirs Champagne. It is 100% Pinot Noir traditional method fizz that is just bursting with red fruits flavours, as well as fresh pastry and brioche, to put one in mind of a fruit tart.

Vesevo Beneventano Falanghina

Vesevo Beneventano Falanghina has that powerful minerality, as well as a steely, bracing acidity. Look out for perfumed notes of white flowers, as well as crisp citrus, peach and white melon. Full and ripe on the palate - this one is a delight. Proof of this fact is that it was one of our top-selling white wines of 2025!

Dalia Trac Gewürztraminer

This is one of our favourite finds of 2025 and wines from the Serbian Vinarija Dalia have featured multiple times in our Sauce Subscription. This particular unctuous offering spends 24 hours on the skin, before going into stainless steel. Then, it is your classic Gewürztraminer packed full of notes of lychee, candied stone fruit, rose and white flowers.

Gabriëlskloof Rosebud

A wickedly fresh and zingy rosé wine from the talented people at Gabriëlskloof. Gabriëlskloof was founded in 2001, but at this time the land was dedicated to wheat and sheep. Slowly, wine was introduced and now there are over 60 hectares of vines. The winemaking is innovating and precise, as well as sustainable. This 100% Syrah offering is packed full of notes of red apple, rose, strawberry, rhubarb and quince.

Bachelder Wismer-Foxcroft Gamay Noir

Next up, we're off to Canada. They tend to get eclipsed by their neighbour to the south when it comes to wine, but there are pockets of the country which represent really great cool climate conditions. This is perfect for reds from Pinot Noir and Gamay, such as this one. 33% whole bunch fermented and lightly oaked. Soft, subtle, elegant and packed with a refreshing acidity that match those strong red berry flavours.

Don't Miss Out!
